I had a few extra acorns left over from the napkin ring project, and I have to confess that while I love the whole acorn, the little caps slay me with their cuteness. So I turned a few into rings with a late fall, nature-bling vibe. You’ll Need: Acorn caps 1” styrofoam balls Craft knife Hot glue gun or white glue Spray paint or acrylic paint (for solid finish); polyurethane sealer (for natural finish); or glue with brush and glitter (for glitter version Decorative paper and scissors (optional) Adjustable ring blanks with a flat disk (like these or these , or these if you want to step it up) Bonding cement How To:
I own too much jewelry. I have it in all corners of my apartment and I rarely wear any of it. A few days ago, I spotted a ring I made last year on boyfriend's dresser that he stole.
You can make this lovely ring (or a version of this design) yourself, using just some basic tools, wire and a lip balm! Yes, in this tutorial I am going to demonstrate that just basic beginner tools and a wire from Michael’s can go a long way! Wouldn’t this ring make a great present??
This project is (somewhat) inspired by the Harrison Ring by Dannijo, which is available at ShopZoeOnline.com for $155. I decided to make my own ring with the same general concept as the $150+ original, using sew-on faceted gems. I say "general" because the concept of my version would have been more similar to the original if my sew-on gems had more than 2 holes. However, 2 holes are the standard amount of holes in sew-on gems...so, we'll just have to work with it.

This beautiful tutorial for Chiffon and Tulle flowers is so inspirational. I can imagine applying the project to so many things...such as dressing up a bland throw pillow, creating hair accessories, a feminine belt, romantic shoe clips, an everlasting bouquet and more. Don't you just love the possibilities?!
