Thanks everyone for your votes. It was a fun outfit to make....and it made me find an awesome discovery. You can turn a dress pattern around and make a coat out of it!

I stepped even further out of my comfort zone with this one. This is the first time I have made an actual dress, without taking the top from an existing shirt. (unless you count my Laurel project when I was 16.

I am currently in love with anything nautical these days. There is just something so classic and charming about navy and white stripes.
