Cinnamon Caramel Corn with Pecans & White Chocolate {AKA Cinnamon Bun Popcorn!}

So it’s Thursday, but I thought it was only fair to post this recipe today since people in Utah get to see me cook it on TV! http://www.ourbestbites.com/2009/09/cinnamon-caramel-corn-with-pecans-white-chocolate-aka-cinnamon-bun-popcorn/

Goblin Grub {Chewy Chex Cereal Mix}

http://www.ourbestbites.com/2009/10/goblin-grub-chewy-chex-cereal-mix/ So how can I even compete with Sara’s party food post yesterday, right? I mean, hello Mummy Dogs and creepy finger cheese!
So here’s a question for you: What’s a girl to do when she a) has a cooking blog, b) has a husband who insists upon not calling the oven repairman and fixing the oven himself, even though the oven has currently been inoperable for 20 days, and c) the heat index has been hovering between 107 and 115 degrees, plus humidity? http://www.ourbestbites.com/2010/08/peanut-butter-cup-popcorn/

A huge number of my favorite family traditions revolve around food items and certain holidays.

Apple Cider Caramels

Note: This recipe has been modified from when it was originally posted for greater user-friendliness, particularly in dissolving the sugar. First of all, I hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a wonderful holiday weekend! http://www.ourbestbites.com/2010/11/apple-cider-caramels/

coconut milk fudge

http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2010/03/coconut-milk-fudge/ I’ve got a mad case of wanderlust. You’d think that after taking in vistas like this two weekends ago and this just yesterday , I’d be happy just to be here. But even New York City on the stunning brink between a snow-blanketed February and a shiny, breezy March aren’t enough to keep me from dreaming about South America . Northern Italy . India.

Brigadeiros

Another chocolaty experiment, brigadeiros turned out to be tasty with a funny name. http://bakerscanvas.blogspot.com/2010/03/brigadeiros.html
Honey Cream Caramels Here is the recipe I promised yesterday. I have never made caramels before, well besides trying last week without a candy thermometer, crazy right? Well I just made these and the end result was superb.

Fleur de Sel Caramels

One of my new year's resolutions this year was to exercise more so this week I spent some quality time at the gym taking classes like Zumba and Power Tone. I also learned there is such a thing as overdoing it (note to self: just because you took two months off from the gym does not mean you can jump right back in like nothing happened). The next morning I was a hurt bag of hurt. Muscles I didn't even know existed called out for help.
Have you ever sat down to a devour a delectable dessert, licked the last sweet taste from the spoon, and groaned audibly at the prospect of now having to clean up after yourself? Groan no more! After a perusal of Bakerella's blog , I discovered the solution to this dire problem. Edible bowls.
