Still Looking For Paradise? Maldives - justpaste.it. Double chain of twenty-six atolls… The Republic of Maldives, or simply the Maldives, is an island nation in the Indian Ocean. It consists of approximately 1,190 coral islands grouped in a double chain of 26 atolls, along the north-south direction, spread over roughly 90,000 square kilometers, making this one of the most disparate countries in the world.

The atolls are composed of live coral reefs and sand bars, situated atop a submarine ridge 960 kilometers long that rises abruptly from the depths of the Indian Ocean and runs from north to south. Crystal clear waters, beautiful white sand beaches, swaying palm trees and fabulous dive sites – that’s why the Maldives, is known for being one of the best tropical holiday destinations in the world. ...and no need to climb ;) With an average ground level of 1.5 metres (4 ft 11 in) above sea level, it is the lowest country on the planet. Dear Photograph. Dear “Dear Photograph”, Thank you for your beautiful blog and for inspiring me to make my own ‘Dear Photograph’ book for my parents as a gift this Christmas. In the process of taking over 400 pictures in the style of your blog, I visited the battered post-Hurricane Sandy New Jersey shoreline where I grew up.

I visited preschools, bridges, churches, and grammar schools. I visited the homes and backyards of aunts, uncles, and grandparents. I started on the eastern shore of the state, visited the western border, and returned to the eastern shore again. I visited various moments in my life and was ultimately reacquainted with my childhood self. So Dear Photograph,Thank you for reminding us of who we were, who we are, and who we are going to be. Sincerely, Alyssa. - StumbleUpon.

A Father Who Creatively Captures His Kids (20 photos) If there was a prize that could be given out to the most creative father, I'd hope that it was awarded to Jason Lee. A wedding photographer by day, he's used to capturing some of the most important moments in a couple's lives. As a longtime fan of Jason's photos on Flickr however, I think the real magic happens when he turns the camera onto his daughters. Sure, his children are adorably cute in their own right, but that's not what makes his photos so interesting. It's when he puts his own spin on their everyday moments that we not only get to experience our own childhood again, we're able to see a father's pride shine through.

I was able to get in touch with Jason to ask him a few questions. Q: How did you get into photography? Q: How do you come up with such creative photos of your daughters? Q: How has being on Flickr helped you with your business? Q: Any inspirational stories you'd like to share? Q: Do you have any advice for aspiring photographers? Q: Any quotes you live by?
