Stargate Coasters

Deep in the desert wastes of Egypt, a great superconducting ring sat untouched for thousands of years. Finally unearthed, this great Stargate was eventually harnessed and brought back to Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station in Colorado to be studied. What isn't well known, however, was many hundreds of smaller rings, each no bigger than a hands-breadth, were also unearthed. The large Stargates took our scientists nigh on 60 years to understand. The little ones, however, have yet to be figured out. Were they visualizing models for the real thing?
Carbon is one of our favorite elements. It makes diamonds, it makes all known life possible, and it makes pencils (and who doesn't love pencils?) Also, it seems that carbon fullerenes (buckeyballs, nanotubes, etc) are going to do a lot in our future. Time to bring a little of that microcarbon goodness into your home and make it work for you now. "Wire Glue" Conductive Glue uses microcarbon technology to make a glue that also conducts electricity. That's right - no need for solder anymore; now you have Wire Glue! http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/tools/b70c/

Wire Glue" Conductive Glue

http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/tools/dd14/ You know the old saying, "Measure twice, cut once" that you probably learned from your geekdad whilst in his basement workshop? Well, it turns out that saying got its start because back in the day, measuring devices were awful. Whether you were measuring 3 inches or 3 yards, you couldn't be entirely sure your measurement was accurate. Measuring twice at least gave you a fighting chance of getting it kinda right. Did your homemade back porch wobble a little bit in places? Ours did, too.

Having a lot of hubs is great - you can plug in all of your fun gadgets, even your USB Pet Rock, and they'll be juiced up and ready to go when you need them. But what about those USB devices that you don't want to have on 24/7? What if the lights from your USB Christmas Tree are giving you a migraine? http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/usb-gadgets/e2d2/

A new laser color has just landed at ThinkGeek and we like what we see. Red and even green lasers are now fairly common but blue lasers not so much. So, if you want to have the latest fashionably cool laser color this year, we've got you covered. http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/lights/b847/

Timmy's Tactical Attaché

http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/bags/bfc0/ It's not well known, but before the 90's made Timmy into a dotcom superstar icon for ThinkGeek, he worked for the Los Angeles Police Department, SWAT division. He doesn't like to brag, so he kinda keeps it hush-hush. Ok, truth is he was IT for the SWAT department, but don't tell him I told you. One of the percs of the job, though, was to wear that armored black uniform, and carry around the ballistic nylon bag like a certified badass.

Closed-Hood Car Jump Starter

http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/car/a8a0/ A dead car battery risks raising the ire of any tech savvy geek. It always seems to come at the worst possible time. Yes, jump-starting a car is an easy enough task but it does require finding a friend with a running vehicle and mucking about under the hood of two cars with sparking jumper cables. Well now you can start a car with a dead battery the gentleman's way using the Closed-Hood Car Jump Starter. Exactly as the name implies you can start a car with nary a glance under the hood. Just find a friend with a running vehicle and connect your annoyingly dead car to the running car using the cigarette lighter outlets via the Car Jump Starter.
The newest member of the Swiss+Tech family of quality-made “micro-tools,” the BodyGard 5-in-1 Emergency Tool incorporates five specific devices: automatic glass breaker, safety-blade seat belt cutter, sonic alarm, flashing red distress light, and bright-white LED flashlight. It's designed to help drivers escape from their vehicles when the windows or doors fail to operate due to vehicle damage, fire or submersion. The glass breaker is spring-loaded to automatically deploy when pressed firmly against a vehicle’s side or rear window. The safety-blade seat belt cutter quickly frees both the driver and passengers from their seats if their seat belts do not unlatch after an accident.

If you were a robot, and we knew but you didn't, would you want us to tell you? Part of the reason we know you're a robot is the fact that you are drawn to accessories to attach to yourself. Your android body is not sufficient, so you keep looking for little improvements - a multi-tool here, a super bright laser pointer there. You can't quite integrate your laptop into your person, so you've bought a netbook and you're as surgically attached to your smartphone as possible. We've seen all the signs.

MagnoGrip

Magnets can definitely be fun and interesting - but they have a serious side, too. Storage media, electric motors, speakers, transformers and credit cards all owe their ability to function to magnets. It would certainly be a less geeky world without magnets.
