Press release on the publication of UCDP’s report on states in armed conflict A press release was issued on 27 December following the publication of UCDP’s annual report, States in Armed Conflict. This year the report includes an in-depth exploration of peace agreements. After the end of the Cold War, the 1990s and the first years of the 2000s saw numerous peace accords concluded, ending protracted conflicts such as those in Mozambique and Sudan.

The Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) project reports aggregate and individual governance indicators for 215 economies over the period 1996–2011, for six dimensions of governance: These aggregate indicators combine the views of a large number of enterprise, citizen and expert survey respondents in industrial and developing countries. They are based on 30 individual data sources produced by a variety of survey institutes, think tanks, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, and private sector firms. Financial support from the Knowledge for Change Program of the World Bank is gratefully acknowledged. The Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI) are a research dataset summarizing the views on the quality of governance provided by a large number of enterprise, citizen and expert survey respondents in industrial and developing countries.
