Sony to launch PlayMemories Online: 5GB cloud photo-sharing service coming next week (video) Sony Tablet P Available This Weekend Through AT&T. The Sony Tablet P arrives through AT&T on March 4th. The next generation of the Sony Tablet S (which we enjoy using!) , the Tablet P offers two screen separate touchscreens that can be used in tandem as one large extension of each other. Or you can use the two screens distinct from one each other, perhaps reading an email on the top screen, and using the bottom screen as a keyboard. Take a look at the world's first foldable dual touchscreen tablet: The dual screen design gives people some flexibility and addresses the issue of one large single screen for gamers or people who prefer a keyboard experience. It runs on the Android 3.2 platform (I'm still lukewarm on Android), but I love that it includes the Sony Entertainment Network with Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited and PlayStation-certified games.

The Tablet P has two cameras: one front-facing, one rear-facing, 4GB of storage, and 4G LTE speed. Sony's head units Xplod into the infotainment scene with TomTom GPS on in-dash screens. Sony Introduces New E-Readers. On Wednesday Sony will introduce a new line of e-readers and applications for iPhones and Android phones. The Sony Reader Touch Sony has updated each of its three e-readers. The Reader Pocket Edition, with its 5-inch screen, weighs less than many of its competitors. The Reader Touch Edition has a 6-inch screen and the Reader Daily Edition is the biggest of the bunch at 7 inches. “Consistently the No. 1 thing we heard was it needs to feel like a book, so you just forget that you have a device in your hand,” said Steve Haber, president of Sony’s digital reading division.

To try to achieve the book feel, Sony made the readers smaller and lighter than before. Sony previously offered touch on the two bigger readers and updated the screens by removing the top layer of glass so there is less glare and to make them more responsive. The new devices arrive as the market is getting ever more competitive. Sony has struggled to capture the same brand recognition as other e-readers. Sony Refreshes Its E-Readers with Improved Touch Screen. At the mention of an "e-reader," most people think Kindle or Nook, but if you just want the device, sans the deal with the content provider, Sony has a nice little trio of e-readers on offer, and they've all just been upgraded with several important improvements. Sony's 5-inch Pocket Edition e-reader is now called PRS-350 and the 6-inch Touch Edition is called PRS-650; both are available now for $179.99 and $229.99 respectively.

The 7-inch Daily Edition is now called PRS-950 and it will be available this fall for $299.99. The smallest device in the bunch has 2GB of memory, a USB connection, and supports EPUB/ACS4, PDF, Microsoft Word, and other text file formats. Its 6-inch brother has similar specifications, with the addition of SD and Memory Stick Duo Expansion slots for adding additional memory, as well as a headphone jack and support for MP3 and AAC audio files. What distinguishes Sony's e-readers from the competition is their E-Ink Pearl touch screen display. Sony takes on Kindle with next-gen e-readers | Crave. Maybe the third time's the charm for Sony. After two tries at touch-screen e-readers, the company has officially unveiled its latest generation of Readers, and this go-round Sony's engineers have finally gotten it right--at least the touch-screen part. As the rumors suggested , Sony is basically upgrading all three of its Readers with new technology, leading with the new higher-contrast E-Ink Pearl display, which is used in the latest Amazon and .

In the upgrade, the smaller 5-inch Pocket Edition goes from PRS-300 to PRS-350 and the Touch Edition goes from PRS-600 to PRS-650. Those models will retail for $179.99 and $229.99 respectively and are available now. Meanwhile, the larger Daily Edition PRS-950, which features an 7-inch screen along with built-in Wi-Fi and 3G wireless from AT&T, will list for "about" $299.99 and hit stores in November. The 5-inch Reader Pocket Edition PRS-350 is small and lightweight, weighs 5.64 ounces, and is only .33 inch thick. Sony Bloggie Touch - Sony Bloggie takes the touch route.
