Update:: I made a video tutorial for this DIY. Check it out below! Last night I download the July issue of Martha Stewart Living on my iPad. I didn’t get too far into the issue as I skimmed it’s pages until I fell asleep.
Okay, just shoot me now and put me out of my misery! Will I never achieve such creative genius as this? Time to read it and weep...not the ugly cry - it's a happy sob (sigh) ! Oh what some people can do with a recycled book or two. Like this painting on a wall of books! A wall of books!
Repurposed books and mags
Now that Harry Potter fever is upon us once more, I thought you would like to have a go at making some really nice Harry Potter Wands. This is such a simple but effective instructable. With a sheet of paper, some glue and a bit of paint, and about 40 minutes to spare this instructable will show you how you can make a Harry Potter type wand that would not look out of place in the film itself. I designed it and I have already made a load for my kids, even my girlfriend and her 18 year old daughter and her boyfriend wanted one each!
Day Twenty-One and we're still havin' fun! Today we're making a super cool pop up flower for the 31 Crafty Flowers in 31 Days ! I thought it would be fun to make it out of old magazine pages, but of course you could use pretty scrapbook paper, handmade paper, painted watercolor paper or even construction paper if the kiddos are helping to make these fun flowers! Here's what you need to get started:
"If you really wanted to, we could go and purchase some of the furniture brand new, you know", said my husband, as he sees me pick up yet another project. It's true. My husband brings in over 90% of the household income, and we have learned how to make do with this arrangement. We've learned to save on somethings, and splurge on others. If we really wanted to, we could put aside money for furniture, home decorations and the "frivolous".
These pretty printables are fabulous and free…you can’t go wrong with that! Decorate your home with quotes and flowers, throw a party that looks like a million bucks or wrap a gift with the perfect tag. Oh my gosh…you are going to love these!!! There’s a little something for everyone. I wish I could share a photo of each one, but my blog would most likely blow up…ha! Make sure your printer has color ink before you start, and feel free to share this list with all your friends…they’ll love you for it!
