Creative Wedding Guest Books | ohamanda.com. Welcome to ohAmanda! See more of my wedding & birthday party posts. It’s kinda my hobby to find fun party ideas! My sister-in-law is getting married in August. So this week we went wedding dress shopping (fun!) And bridesmaid dress shopping (not-so-fun). I’d rather do most of my wedding shopping while browsing the internet. So, in honor of my sister-in-law’s upcoming wedding (and a promise I made in 2009 that I’d write this post) here are 1. Eclectic Woodsy Wedding by Desi Baytan Photography | Style Me Pretty : The Ultimate Wedding Blog. 43 DIY Wedding Projects For The Budget Bride | Austin Wedding | Austin Wedding Blog. Staying within your wedding budget is hard. As a newlywed, I can't count how many times we had to do some "adjusting" to our wedding spending so we wouldn't completely destroy our agreed-upon wedding budget. After some long chats and compromises, I can proudly say, we succeeded. The main way that we cut costs was to take on some DIY wedding projects. If you've got the right supplies, time and willingness to work, you can truly amaze yourself... and your guests. Below are 43 DIY wedding projects that might just inspire you to add some handmade love to your special day.

Good luck and I'd love to know which one of these projects inspires you! A True Love Story. DIY Bridal Bouquet – Dreams Weddings on a Budget «Dream Weddings on a Budget. If your watching your budget, and these days who isn’t – then a DIY bouquet project might be just the thing for you. In this project I’ll be showing you how to make the bouquet below. Where to begin. Silks or Fresh? Well first thing you need to do is choose between fresh flowers and silk. A fresh flower bouquet should only be tackled by the bravest among you with at least some DIY fortitude. Fresh flowers are less forgiving and should only be done within a day of the wedding. Silks are a much easier way to go for the average DIY’er.

Things You’ll Need Wire cutters – You can pick one up at Home Depot for less than $10. Where to buy Many Florists today will be more than happy to sell you loose stems for a DIY project. Design Style I would highly recommend a hand tied bouquet for a first time DIY’er. Let’s Get This Party Started For this project I selected Calla Lilies. I used 24 Mini Calla stems for my bouquet. Step 1 Place all the flowers loosely in the palm of your hand. Step 4. Bridesmaids Gift Ideas | Inspirations & Creations. I may be a bit biased, but I think my bridesmaids scored some sweet SWAG for being a part of our big day :) One thing I knew I wanted to do for sure was to make them something… because everyone just loves handmade goodies right?!? I saw this awesome diy doily bag on Design*Sponge. {image via Design*Sponge} After reading through the full tutorial on Ashley Ann Photography’s blog I got to work on making one for each of my bridesmaids!

It took me a few trial/error bags but I eventually got the hang of it (the more spray adhesive the better!) And I was pretty pleased with how they turned out. For the initials I just printed off a letter in the size/font I wanted…carefully cut it out and then used the stencil that was left over to paint on each initial. The next thing I got for each of the girls was a pair of gray J Crew flip-flops (to match their J Crew BM dresses of course) to wear at the reception. {above 3 photos via author’s personal collection} {pic via madebysam} Woo-Wee!! PEONY LOVE! Happy Monday Guys....hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Let's open the cafe with one of my favorite flowers...Peonies! I love them! I think peonies are one of the most romantic flowers and I adore their sweet fragrance....their "ruffle-like" blooms are so soft and feminine.....truly a top pick for wedding floral.....whether you want to carry a bouquet of them or a single stem, you don't have to do a lot of "arranging" to them, which makes them perfect for a DIY wedding or for your home. A couple of weeks ago, the wonderful folks from FiftyFlowers, sent me the most beautiful Sarah Bernhardt Peonies....in case you didn't know, FiftyFlowers is a great resource for wholesale flowers for DIY weddings and events. So, I created a little "Peony Love" (right in my own back yard) and my girl Katie of Katie Stoops Photography stopped by to capture all the details.

Thanks so much Katie.....Enjoy Y'all....xoxo. Rock Candy Wedding Cake. Posted June 8, 2011 | 10 Comments I used to love rock candy as a kid. As an adult, I still love it. There’s this sweet little old-fashioned candy shop in my town that offers rock candy sticks in apothecary jars. They even give you a brown candy bag to fill up your candy selections. (It’s seriously like a step back in time and I love it all.) When I spotted this rock candy wedding cake, I loved how it plays into nostalgia but with a fresh, modern vibe.

You can dress it up in your favorite colors or go for a glam look with clear rock candies. Via here xo, -E. Wedding Blog: S'mores Bar Desserts. Today, many brides and grooms are incorporating more of their own personal style into their wedding day. Many couples feel if they are going to spend thousands of dollars on this day, it should be one that they will enjoy and one that is filled with all things that they enjoy. So, when I ran across the idea of having a S’mores Bar during a wedding reception, I immediately fell head over heels in love … It is such a warm, family friendly idea (reminds me of the times spent telling stories around the campfire). It is an idea that has definitely been preserved over the years and lately is seems to have had a ‘face-lift’. photo credit: ellybevents.comPin it You can now see a s’mores bar literally on a bar set in rocks with burners serving as your flame source.
