Content management is the process of organizing and consolidating these pieces of content (text, graphics, and multimedia clips) and tagging schemes (XML, HTML, etc,) in the most efficient way and storing them only one time in a repository, known as a content management system. The organized content can then be used over and over again (content reuse) for many different publications and repurposed for multichannel publishing. For any programmers out there, you may have heard of the Software Development Life Cycle, well the Website Development Life Cycle is basically the same thing. A 6-step process. Those 6 steps are: 1. Website Requirements and Analysis 2. 6 Phases of the Web Site Design and Development Process. When putting together the main business portion of this site, I wrote an article that outlines the Six Phases of the Web Site Design & Development Process.
As an integral part of my own company web site, the article is slanted to how I personally help clients through the process of creating their own site.
