Résumé : en quelques semaines un nouveau concept a fait irruption sur la toile : le curator, qui peut être défini comme un filtre et un diffuseur d’information de qualité et ciblées. Nouveau phénomène de mode ou élément clé d’un dispositif réussi ? Avec un peu de hauteur il semble bien qu’il soit le complément idéal du community manager là où ce dernier n’a pas de sens, l’un s’adressant aux vraies communautés, l’autre à ceux qui veulent l’information sans l’intéraction ainsi qu’à ceux qui ont besoin d’être stimulés pour intéragir.

Je pris part à une discussion sur Twitter il y a quelques jours qui partait d’une question de Jean-Noël Chaintreuil à Cédric Deniaud : Scoop.it est-il un concurrent à Twitter ? L’essentiel du débat s’orienta vers le potentiel grand public de la fonction de curation du web, pour laquelle Scoop.it se positionne comme un service novateur. Posted by Tom Foremski - November 2, 2010 Curation is becoming an increasingly important term and for good reason: the online world is increasingly messy, muddled and full of blind alleys. Search used to be the best way to navigate online but today it is only one part of an Internet user's dashboard. Finding things is fine if you know what to look for, but search is increasingly less effective in judging the quality of links, or putting those links into a context. Blekko , the recently launched search engine tries to provide a context for search terms but it's still not curation but aggregation So what is curation?
