Valentine Activities with Hearts Stickers. We are shifting gears today and moving towards some intentional learning Valentine activities. Every time a new holiday season rolls around we like to take advantage of the theme and modify our usual learning activities to go inline with the new season. It gives the kids excitement about the upcoming new holiday and spruces up the usual learning routine.

Today we share many Valentine activities using just hearts stickers. I purchased a small box of foam hearts stickers available at many stores now. They come in a clear bag and there are so many different sizes, colors and patterns inside. With so many variations come the numerous learning opportunities for the kids. Here is a run down of Valentine activities you can do with the kids using just stickers. Sort This is a fantastic exercise I did with my toddler.

Counting This was a toddler activity as well. Matching and 1-to-1 correspondence This was again for my toddler. Patterns This patterning activity was for my preschooler. CVC words. Valentine's day cards for kids: Shiny hand prints. What we have today is an easy Valentine’s day craft for kids that is actually a simple homemade card. Have you seen our Salt Glitter hand print Christmas cards? They are so easy to make and turn out very pretty. If you are making quite a few Valentine’s day cards it is more exciting for the kids to make cards with different techniques, as opposed to making many similar looking cards. Yesterday we made Blow Painting Valentine’s day cards. Things we used SaltGlitterSequinsPaintCard stock paper We made a cool salt glitter tray with a heavy rose of pink glitter. I started off with giving the girls a paper plate with 3 of their favorite colors – of course, purple, pink and orange.

After Big A firmly pressed her hand on the paint, I helped spread the paint on her palm evenly and she made 2 hand prints ( one for each hand) across each other in a V-shape forming the heart. Immediately ( this part is important) we flipped the card on the salt tray and pressed it gently on the surface. Tada! Homemade Gift For Valentine's day.
