The Bryce Harlow Foundation honored Connie Tipton, IDFA president and CEO, with its 2014 Business-Government Relations Award for her “significant contributions to the advocacy profession through a lifelong career as an exemplary role model.” House Speaker John Boehner introduced Tipton at the foundation’s annual awards dinner held Tuesday night in Washington, D.C. The Bryce Harlow Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes the highest standards within the profession of lobbying and government relations. The evening’s program featured Tipton’s accomplishments and highlighted her collaborative style and dedication to pursuing the best solutions for the dairy industry. “Through education, direct lobbying and leadership of coalitions, Connie has earned a reputation, both with her lobbyist peers and with members of Congress, for rolling up her sleeves and tackling issues that many people wouldn’t even begin to understand.
