Marvel's THE AVENGERS Hysterical Gag Reel Surfaces. With Marvel's The Avengers superhero extravaganza available on Blu-ray and DVD in certain areas around the globe, and across the net, Marvel Studios' first-ever gag reel has find its way online. Featuring hilarious outtakes with the ensemble cast as well their writer and director, Joss Whedon, watch the 4-minute video below. In addition to the gag reel, beneath it you'll find an extended exchanged between Loki and his controlled-Hawkeye.

Nothing too revealing in this final batch of set videos from The Avengers' New York shoot, but they do give us a closer look at panicked extras running in fear from on an unknown threat as explosions and chaos ensues around them. The third sees an incredibly obnoxious fan shouting after Chris Evans, "I like Batman! " Below that, we have a couple of photos courtesy of Bleeding Cool, which show the scale of the destroyed set and the effort that clearly went into creating these scenes of destruction on the streets of New York.

And now, here is what I believe to be the "Leviathan. " As RorMachine pointed out in his poll yesterday, DCMarvelFreshman came up with the idea that the "Leviathan" is in fact the camera on the large crane you'll see in the video below. Looking at both it's location and the way in which it moves, this pretty much matches up exactly with the details on that filming schedule. RELEASE DATE: May 4th, 2012. Our camera had a birds eye view for the filming, as Captain America and Thor fight off some challengers during the scene. The people who Captain America and Thor are fighting are wearing special suits, which will then be used with computer animation to turn them into aliens in post-production. As the actors went through several takes of the fight scene, flames shot up in the background of the scene. In the video, you can see some of the outtakes, as a stunt double helps actor Chris Evans (Captain America) go through some of the fight scenes and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) drops a hammer that gets tossed to him in the middle of the scene. Mybe you saw them, I didn't post them because they weren't interesting at all. But, today some new set photos have surfaced of Chris Evans in full on Captain America gear! I really like the look of this new modern Captain America outfit, I've seen several complaints on the web about it, but I think it's awesome, and I want it. While we were tipped earlier of the following, I was recently contacted by another movie extra, who filmed "explosive" scenes today for next summer's The Avengers. And in their report, what's further confirmed are extraterrestrials evidently being involved in the scenes. The Avengers has begun filming this week! It's certainly not breaking news, especially with director Joss Whedon's motivational post, or the web presence of sporadic leaked pics from the superhero mega-film's shoot from widespread across the United States. However, to (officially) help kick-off this production of all productions, Marvel has (officially) released the first set photo. While it's certainly not a hugely revealing look, it manages to speak volumes about where we're headed in this surreal, unprecedented big-screen team up of Marvel Comics' legends.
