But we've heard that about a lot of superhero movies in the past, right? But even if you loved all of those films-- and Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk, for that matter-- you are still probably going to have a new favorite Marvel movie after this weekend. Don't believe me? Here are five very solid reasons why The Avengers isn't just a great superhero movie, but the best movie we've seen yet from Marvel Studios. It's funnier than all the others. Think humor isn't the most important thing in a superhero movie? The final action sequence is better than all the others combined. It builds off the character development of the others and expands on it. Disney Releases "Fun Facts" for THE AVENGERS Movie. The first Avengers comic was published in September 1963 and the lineup consisted of Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man and Wasp. Captain America joined the team in #4, after being revived from being trapped in a block of ice. This film brings together Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) when they are called to duty by S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). * The Helicarrier Bridge set was built on a soundstage in Albuquerque. THE AVENGERS Tony Stark Car Images. Steve is currently braving the snow in Park City at the Sundance Film Festival, and he stumbled across a fairly ingenious bit of marketing for the film. THE AVENGERS Will Officially Be Released in 3D. Paramount Pictures has confirmed that Joss Whedon's The Avengers will be released in 3D. The movie was shot in 2D which means it will go through the post-conversion process, which I really didn't care for in Thor. 3D has just become a way to charge audiences more money to see a movie, and in my opinion it's not worth the price 90% of the time. Some films have been great in 3D like Avatar and Tron: Legacy, but most of them really just don't do it for me. What are your thoughts on The Avengers being released in 3D? The film brings together the epicness of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (Samuel L.
Jackson), and the villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Here's the synopsis: The highly anticipated Marvel film comes out on May 4th, 2012. A couple months ago, back in May, it was reported that Marvel Studios' Joss Whedon-directed ensemble film, The Avengers, would have an estimated budget of $170 million, spending about $30 million alone in Ohio, where production is currently underway. However, in a recent interview excerpt with the Cinematographer for the highly-anticiated film, Seamus McGarvey, via Fuji Film from International Exposure magazine, the budget listed seems more plausible. Armagh-born McGarvey - currently in New Mexico shooting a $260m Marvel Comics' extravaganza, The Avengers - has come a long way for the kid who first got his film break when as a student at the local Christian Brothers school, he was given a Super 8 camera by an inspirational teacher.
Now, does $260,000,000 seem a bit more likely, compared to the budget of the studios' recent films - Iron Man 2 ($200m), Thor ($150m), and Captain America: TFA ($140m)? Another Villain For The Avengers Revealed! Ever since production commenced for Marvel & Joss Whedon's crown jewel The Avengers, many had been at wonder of what big threat would assemble earth's mightiest heroes. And with the God of Mischief Loki confirmed, while the extraterrestrial Skrulls have yet to be debunked, it seems theres another big time foe for the superhero ensemble flick. And now the good folks over at Latino Review claims to know whothat may be. According to very trusted always on point sources, Latinoreview has exclusively learned that the other villain in THE AVENGERS is……THANOS!
Now I’m not going to spoil how he is in the movie, but trust me when we tell you that he is in there. Thanos' first appearance debuted in the Bronze Age of comic books, and the character has featured in over three decades of Marvel continuity and a self-titled series. At last year's San Diego Comic-Con, the Infinity Gauntlet was displayed, which is knowingly the title weapon for the Mad Titan, Thanos. Chris Evans Says Captain America "Gets Some Conflict" In The Avengers. Follow Mark "RorMachine": By Mark "RorMachine" Cassidy - 6/28/2011 There are those that don't think too much of Captain America as a character because really, where is the flaw? He is the perfect human being in every respect.
Of course some great writers have managed to take that and make it work for the character and we have had some fantastic stories featuring Cap in the comics, but how does a movie that deals only with Steve Rogers' origin story and his first time strapping on the shield overcome that? Speaking to SFX Chris Evans addresses this, and also reveals that come Joss Whedon's Avengers Cap will be dealing with a lot more internal struggles than he did in his first movie outing..

"We delivered the second draft of 'Ant-Man two days ago, and we're really happy with it," Joe Cornish told the packed out crowd at Kapow!
On Saturday. "We’re currently working on it, not right now. But the day after tomorrow we’ll go to Los Angeles and... [nods to Edgar]. " The director of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World expanded on this by detailing the lengths the duo went through to get the movie made. "We kinda have a stock response now, it’s true to say we’ve been writing it in some form. Wright added: "Basically, when I met Kevin Feige I said, ‘Oh, did you ever get our ‘Ant-Man’ treatment?’ Despite previous reports that Ant-Man will not have a role in The Avengers, there are still many fans who are desperately hoping that both he and the Wasp will have some sort of role in the 2012 movie. "The thing is, the script that I’ve written...the chronology of it or the way it works wouldn’t really fit in with what [The Avengers] do.

In the Deadline article that revealed Cobie Smulders as Marvel Studios and Joss Whedon's top choice to play Maria Hill, was a list of the movies cast, along with this very interesting tidbit of information. We already know that Clark Gregg will play a role in the superhero team-up, but this makes it sound as if Tom Hiddleston has also signed up to return as Loki as many expected! Robert Downey Jr brings his Iron Man character, Jeremy Renner is Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson is Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth is Thor, Mark Ruffalo is Bruce Banner/The Hulk, and Chris Evans is Captain America. Tom Hiddleston is Loki and Clark Gregg reprises the role of SHIELD agent Phil Coulson that he played in the last Iron Man. Well, looks as if we can expect to see The Avengers take on Loki and the Hulk after all! This has been pretty obvious for a while now, with hints from various sources (including key cast members) but Deadline's confirmation pretty much set it in stone.
