Die Switcher SA ist ein Schweizer Textilunternehmen mit Sitz in Mont-sur-Lausanne , das die Marken Switcher und Whale vertreibt. Das Unternehmen legt hohen Wert auf soziale und ökologische Verantwortung bei Produktion und Vertrieb seiner Produkte. Das Unternehmen wurde 1981 als Mabrouc SA vom Student Robin Cornelius gegründet zwecks der Vermarktung der Marke Switcher und später zusätzlich der Marke Whale. Die erste Kollektion von Switcher umfasste zwei Produkte: Ein T-Shirt und ein Sweatshirt. 1985 wurde das Farbensystem eingeführt, das dem Konsumenten immer gleichbleibende Farben garantieren soll. 1986 wurde in Mont-sur-Lausanne ein Dauerlager aufgebaut.

Tirupur ( Tiruppur , Tamil : திருப்பூர் ; [t̪ɪɾɨppuːr] ) pronounced as Tirupur is a textile city [ 5 ] located on the banks of Noyyal River . It is also called Dollar city . [ citation needed ] It is the administrative headquarters of the Tiruppur district . It forms a part of the ancient Kongu Nadu region of South India, where its people were the first to establish territorial state. Tirupur is a textile hub and a vast generator of employment for unskilled temporary workers. [ citation needed ] Tiruppur was constituted as Municipality during the year 1947.
