Down to Business was launched last year as a part of the World Challenge competition for sustainable businesses. The mission is to provide practical help for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) throughout the world, with a special emphasis on turning sustainable ideas from niche businesses into mainstream enterprises. We will revisit previous World Challenge finalists and, through them, solve the challenges facing hundreds of thousands like them globally. World Challenge 2011 - Down to Business
Just a few days ago, my dear friend and colleague, Robert Lamb, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. I had a long talk with him last December. In spite of his weakness, his level of energy was still high. “What are the plans for Rio+20? If necessary, I could do a short trip….,” he told me. And, then, after outlining some conference plans we moved into soccer, one of our favorite topics --and the subject of many heated debates between us.
