Preparing For An Unassisted Birth First of all, if you are currently expecting, or think that pregnancy could be a possibility in the near future, I would highly recommend you adding some basic birthing supplies to your emergency checklist. I wrote a post a while back chronicling my home birthing story in which I included a list of items the midwives wanted me to have on hand. Many living among us have a normalcy bias and believe they are untouchable in terms of disasters occurring in their lives. Because of the illusions they choose to believe, if a serious disaster were to occur, then they would be completely caught off guard.

“Honey, the Neighbors Are Coming.” FEMA has suggested that each household should have at a minimum a two week supply of food. Empower the Neighbors Neighbors Helping Neighbors. Bug out bag questions and answers - typical forum thread.
