First, it is important to note that the doctrine of the Trinity does not go back to non-Christian sources [pagan], as has sometimes been supposed in the past . [ie. by Jehovah's Witnesses etc.] There has been no lack of attempts to find the initial form of the doctrine of the Trinity in Plato, or in Hinduism, or in Parsiism.
Biblical Trinity is not borrowed from the pagans!

The Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican Church: a brief historical overview The Rt Revd Pierre W. Whalon In the first thousand years of the Church's existence, there was only one Church. The Church of England was a part of that Catholic Church, having existed in Britain since the second century A.D. Until the seventh century, the Church of the British Isles enjoyed considerable independence from Rome. After the great split between the Eastern Church and the Western Church, commonly dated at 1054 A.A history of the councils of the church : from the original documents

The Manger and the Inn
This article was reproduced in the Fall 2007 issue of Bible and Spade. Why would Joseph, “of the lineage of David,” in the city of his family’s origin have to seek shelter in an inn and be turned out into a stable? Recently this question was put to me here in Beirut. This paper presents an answer. In this brief study I will attempt to demonstrate that Jesus was born in a private home and that the “inn” of Luke 2:7 is best understood as the guest room of the family in whose house the birth took place.Old Testament Bible Stories
Stories from the Old Testament THE OLD TESTAMENT is the account of God's dealing with the Jews as his chosen people. From Genesis to Malachi - from creation to the last of the Old Testament prophets - the history of the Jews are told. The Old Testament, like all of the Bible, is God's Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and written down by man as they were inspired. It is our hope that these stories from the Bible will be enjoyable to you, and will teach you many things about God, and how He is important in your life.Catechetics Online
