Evernote Hello is a fine example of a really good idea that, when executed, doesn't work at all well. In concept, Hello is brilliant. Who doesn't have a problem with remembering names, especially when you're at a party or work function and being introduced to a half-dozen people simultaneously? As I said, it's a really good idea, and the execution is almost perfect. However, Hello doesn't seem to have seen much real-world testing. While this seems like a perfect app for folks working in IT and meeting lots of people for business, it has a lot of problems that need to be sorted out first.

Groupon Acquires Travel Search Company Uptake — Groupon has acquired the travel research start-up Uptake, Groupon just confirmed. — The price of the deal was in the “teens” of millions, and is essentially an “acqhire” for Uptake's 20-person Palo Alto, Calif.-based team, according to a source familiar with the deal.
With its users only spending an average of three minutes per month on the site, Google+ is a “virtual ghost town” compared to Facebook and other social networking sites. That’s how the Wall Street Journal characterizes Google’s social network while reporting new usage stats from comScore. According to comScore, Google+ users averaged only three minutes on the site during January, a pittance compared to Facebook’s average of 405 minutes per visitor.
