Vodafone, Barclays and social gaming company Gree are to open new centres in East London, chancellor George Osborne announced on 3 August, describing it as a "triple whammy for Tech City". Barclays has teamed up with Central Working to support businesses in and around Silicon Roundabout. The Central Working club is expected to help more than 22,000 digital businesses over the next five years, using Barclays funding. CEO James Layfield, said: "Central Working aims not only to provide space for these fast growth companies, but far more importantly to nurture the talents of the people who run them by providing deep support and inspiration as well as the perfect environment to foster collaboration and peer development. " Tokyo-based mobile social gaming company Gree is to open a games development studio in the area.
