Mondrian Pillow. Tutorial: Scrap Buster Fall Pillow. This is my favorite thing to do with my little scraps, and since its Scrap Buster month over at Sew, Mama, Sew, I made a quick tutorial so you can make your own.

Tutorial: Scrap Buster Fall Pillow

This pillow cover is 16" square with an envelope back & the design possibilities are endless! I added some pillows I’ve previously made with this same method at the end of this post. Happy Sewing! You’ll Need: 1. 2. 3. 4. Iron your fabric scraps onto your appliqué material according to the directions on the appliqué material. Now with scissors cut out your trunk and leaf shapes. When you get all your leaves cut out, tear the backing appliqué paper off the leaves and trunk. Then you can arrange them how you want on your pillow front. Once your design is how you like it, press with an iron over each spot for a few seconds making sure not to bump anything out of place. Now you can sew either along the inside edges of your leaves, or you can do a zig zag stitch or blanket stitch around the edges if you prefer.

Knockoff Delancey Felt Petal Pillow From Horchow. Last week I had the amazing opportunity to share this tutorial over at Someday Crafts!

Knockoff Delancey Felt Petal Pillow From Horchow

I am excited to put it up on my own site now! Knockoff Delancey Felt Petal Pillow from Horchow Horchow sells this pillow for $145.00! I thought it was beautiful but not affordable so I decided to make a knockoff and share the tutorial with you! A free printable pattern for the flower pieces can be downloaded here. To make the petals, I cut 1 inch wide strips of felt, cut the long strip into pieces slightly bigger than the petal pattern piece and then cut out the petals. Lay the petals around the circle and sew them on. Sew a few stitches by hand to give the top petals shape and attach them to the center of the flower by hand stitching it. Now, for the pillow, cut 1-14×14 inch square and 2-9×14 inch rectangles of the felt. Stack a 9×14 inch felt piece and a lace piece and hem one of the 14 inch sides. 1. Pottery Barn Knock-Off Pillows. I have a fun pillow makeover to share with you today!

Pottery Barn Knock-Off Pillows

Back in the spring I found the most amazing ginormous pillow at Rugged Wearhouse for only $5. It was a blank canvas just waiting to be transformed. I scoured Pottery Barn for inspiration pillows and stumbled across two that would look great in my living room: the poppy pillow and the lavendar monogram pillow. Both of these pillows are embroidered and, if you've ever visited my blog, you know that I DO NOT sew. But that's okay. I used colors that would match my living room (red, olive, and gold) for each side of the pillow.

(Yes, in case you didn't realize, I put both of these designs on the same pillow. Let's start off with the pillow itself. Next up, let's talk about the poppy side of the pillow. I remember (way back in the day) in high school doing a very fun project in my Spanish class involving Huichol yarn art. I scoured several stores looking for the "right" yarn. (This stuff is seriously amazing. Vintage Victorian Ruffled Pillow. Valentine Heart Pillow. Shabby Flower Pillow (A Tutorial) Sometimes, ideas in my head don’t always turn out as planned.

From $3 IKEA Floor Mat To Fabulous Floor Pouf

Well, sit down and relax. Let me start from the beginning. I happened upon these beauties a while back whilst browsing on West Elm's website. What a great {and fashionable} extra seating option, I thought. {I don't know how it is at your house, but when we get the whole fam together, it always seems like we are running out of seating.
