This page contains transcriptions of the saxophone parts (and some parts that can be played on saxophone) in popular songs from the 50's to 90's. It is intended to be a resource for the beginner to intermediate sax player of approximately 1 to 4 years experience. Most are written for the alto sax, with a few tenor sax parts as well. In most cases, tenor player will need to transpose the alto transcriptions. All transcriptions are provided in a basic text format, with little indication of timing. You will need to listen to the track to pick up the timing. There are no plans at this point to provide transcriptions in standard music notation or as MIDI files.
