The kit consists of multiple parts that are easy to assemble and can be attached to a wide range of different objects. For more advanced uses, you can take the original designs and alter the kit by making your own custom clamps or add-ons as needed. The plastic parts have been 3D printed in ABS. The control unit contains a receiver, four ESCs, a bluetooth module and an OpenPilot CC3D flightcontroller. As requested by some visitors, I’ve made a bill of materials for the kit.

This was my graduation project at the Piet Zwart Institute. . * Technically this would be an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), not a drone, but drone seems to be the term most used these days. Minima - yet another quad copter build - eStuffz. Introduction Minima is my minimalistic quad copter build.

It was intended as a prototype platform for trying various software ideas and to get an idea of what it takes to make a quad fly. Since I usually don't have a whole lot of spare time (and a fairly limited attention span) I've been working on it on and off for over a year. (actually, looking at the PCB it appears the board is from Jun 2010 D: ). The hardware is functional so I am now mainly playing with the IMU. Obviously, there is a lot of room for improvement and maybe someone else get's to implement some better algorithms for the IMU before I get to it. The video indicates that the flight stabilisation works in principle but could be better. Tricopter V2.5. Ever since building the Tricopter V1 I’ve always tried to find ways to improve the construction.

Tricopter V2.5

I always try new props, motors, esc’s, arm lengths, tail mechanism and such. Often I change stuff before each flight. Always in the quest to find the optimum setup for me. The Tricopter V2.5 is more of an alternative to the V2 than something completely new. It uses different motors, speed controllers and tail assembly. There is a new theme to the build: zip-ties. Enough talk, let’s build. I still like the V1 template and a friend of mine was nice enough to cut a few for me on his CNC machine for me.Due to popular demand I now offer pre-cut V1 tricopter frames! 10 M3*16mm screws is needed. All three arms are the same length. The holes in the front wooden arms are drilled 25mm from the edge.

ATROPOS: Fonera Quadrocopter. An insanely home-made UAV. Aimed by fritsl last post :) ... Flight - Scout UAV - Scout UAV. Last Updated on July 17, 2012 Preflight Check Before the first flight a safety check is necessary.

If the propellers have been installed, remove them for the preflight check. BaronPilot Arduino based copilot autostabilizer with Nintendo Wii component (tricopter, quadcopter) This is a program to stabilize a multicopter (copilot), runs on microcontroller like Arduino or Teensy++ and only a wii motion plus, no other electronics needed.

These project started April, 2010. Supported are planes, tricopter, quadricopter (+ and x config), hexacopter (penta and coaxial). The self-leveling capability helps when doing FPV (first person view). 19 Oct 2011 Look at the new quadricopter shop . 21 Jan 2011 First step in the UAV complete system with GPS, this is the first implementation of the DCM filtering with Wii components, and a MARG sensor array, this is really really fast way! Build Log Building a palm size quad-copter & Introducing a new simple flight controller Hello all, After some time flying with a 12"-arm quad-copters, I want to build a small one to fly in the office, and I also want to see how it feels to see a small quad fly.

Videos: 1. 10" motor to motor configuration: Video here 2. 6.5" motor to motor (same as the 10" but with cut down arm length. Video here 3. 4" motor to motor (brushed motors, counter rotating props, built-in receiver, Wii MP gyro board, no ESC): Video here. Build one « warthox. Hoverfly. Quadrotor. ArduIMU quadcopter part III. Hi all, I have a new drone in the family...

ArduIMU quadcopter part III

This tiny drone is able to do completely automatic flights, it can perform altitude hold (based on sonar sensor) and obstacle avoiding based on IR distance sensors (you could see the "black stange eyes" on the photo). It´s your personal droid... Look at the video (the "tennis game" part it´s funny. Thanks to Ramon for the idea!!)

There are some new features in this thrid part... For outdoor configuration: - GPS library support (actually UBLOX or NMEA) - Position hold based on GPS For indoor configuration:
