Swiss National Museums
Three museums – the National Museum Zurich, the Castle of Prangins and the Forum of Swiss History Schwyz – as well as the collections centre in Affoltern am Albis – are united under the umbrella of the Swiss National Museum (SNM). The permanent exhibitions at the museums present Swiss cultural history from its beginnings to the present, and give an insight into Swiss identity and the rich tapestry of our country’s history and culture. Temporary exhibitions on current topics add to the experience. The SNM is also responsible for curating the Guild House ‘Zur Meisen’ Zurich and the Museo doganale Cantine di Gandria. Die Sammlung Oskar Reinhart «Am Römerholz» in Winterthur ist ein Konzentrat von Spitzenleistungen der europäischen Kunst. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der französischen Malerei des 19. Jahrhunderts, ergänzt durch bedeutende Beispiele älterer Kunst.

La pinacoteca cantonale Giovanni Züst raccoglie opere di artisti attivi sul territorio ticinese dal XVII al XIX secolo. Il nucleo principale che ancora oggi la compone fu donato allo Stato del Canton Ticino dal collezionista Giovanni Züst (Basilea 1887 - Rancate 1976) nel 1966, ed è costituito dalle opere di un pittore originario di Tremona - a pochi chilometri da Rancate - Antonio Rinaldi (1816-1875), di cui si conservano un centinaio di dipinti e oltre 250 disegni. Il rapporto di Giovanni Züst con l'arte fu istintivo, appassionato, travolgente: grande mecenate, donò parte della sua raccolta di argenti all'Historisches Museum di San Gallo (1969), mentre gli oggetti di arte etrusca e greca (1961) costituirono il primo... <p style="text-align:right;color:#A8A8A8"></p>
