Surrey-based Fearless Ramps was appointed as contractor to fit-out The Arc Skatepark Preston; a company with 25 years experience on similar projects across the country. The 15,000 sq ft warehouse property, previously occupied by graphic designers Format Imagining, is located on School Street, just off Bow Lane, which can be accessed off Ringway. Plans include a café, indoor sports shop, and facilities for local bands to use. Andrew Cowgill, founder and chairman of Northern Extreme Parks, told Place: "We've just launched our website for the indoor skate park which has a video showing the construction progress of the facility.

The pop shove it underflip is when you do a pop shove it, then flip the board up with your back foot by hooking your foot under the edge and pulling up, all in mid air. It's not a normal flip trick, so they are great for a game of skate. If you do them low they can look sort of like varial kickflips, but do them high and they can look very respectable.

GARSTANG youngsters have spent the week putting the new Young People’s Place in Windsor Road through its paces. They were finally let loose on the facility, which cost more than £70,000, last Saturday morning 28/2/04.
