Amanda Palmer. “ Map of Tasmania “, Amanda’s track featuring The Young Punx, has been getting great airplay, the music video has gotten over 1,000,000 collective views on Youtube and Vimeo , and best of all, people have been talking about their pubic hair. Because we can’t leave well enough alone – and since that track is so effin’ HOT - Amanda brought together some friends (dj sveta, kim boekbinder, bodega girls, and others) to make their own remixes of the song. Hal Ritson (of The Young Punx ) and Amanda also held a remix contest over on IndabaMusic.com , whose sole purpose is to create an online landscape in which people can remix each other’s work. Together Hal and Amanda picked out some of their favorites mixes, and now you can get all sorts of weird takes and reinterpretations of “Map of Tasmania”, INCLUDING a mix or two that have a SLAMMIN’ rap from PEACHES .
