Kochi Spicehouse is a fictional company constructed from the ground up, named, branded, and designed as a semester long project. Packaging is centered around the idea of spice as a medium for expression. Containers draw cues from art supplies such as crayon boxes, pigment pots, turpentine tins, and paint tubes, intended to encourage the user to experience the act of cooking as a creative undertaking. A house motif is also in play with the crossbars of the "H" in "Kochi" and packaging elements throughout becoming rooftops.

Collections from various regions are identified by their colors and rooflines. Designed by Claire Morales a student from University of North Texas. Student Spotlight: Terra. "Terra is a Terrarium separates line designed to be sold at Urban Outfitters. The focus of the line is to be completely customizable by the buyer, with different ecosystems to choose from, different vessels, a blind box to fit the ecosystem, and a shelving unit or bookend option for display purposes" Designed by Holly Chong, a senior undergrad Graphic Design major at SCAD Atlanta. The Patch. "The Patch Strawberry Farm required brand development and packaging, in order to demonstrate their high quality produce and professional service.

The final result is one of style and sophistication, and appeals to all age groups. Kraft paper is a key stock, reflecting the ‘earthy’ feel of the farm. The logo is hand-drawn, keeping the natural, friendly look and feel of the business. " Designed by Jackie Elliott while attending the Visual Communication Design at Brisbane's Queensland College of Art, Australia. Active Packs. "Active Packs, a healthier lunch-kit alternative, was anything but active in grocery aisles. It was “old school” and just did not connect with today’s kids & moms. A new brand strategy was needed, so Coho Creative was enlisted to give the brand a boost. While the Active Packs team worked to make the product more nutritious and delicious, Coho developed a new brand image that combined a lively personality, unexpected fun, and a touch of wholesome natural goodness. Now that Active Packs are ready to get back to action, lunch just got better! " Designed by Coho Creative.

Laucke. "Laucke is rich in tradition with a strong history of supplying quality flour to professional and home bakers throughout Australia. The brief was to refresh the tired Laucke brand, create a more contemporary brand and target a more niche market - the artisan baker. Create a logo and a more uniform brand and revitalise all lines of professional and retail packaging to reflect the Laucke philosophy. Ensure the packaging works across professional and retail with over 90 product lines. We have photographed various artisan breads and positioned on the front of pack in various angles, views, crops or layout to create strong shelf presence and instant varietal differentiation for the habitual purchase. Krave has taken jerky to new culinary heights by using sliced whole meats – turkey, beef and pork – and incorporating artisanal flavors like basil citrus, chipotle honey and smoky grilled teriyaki.

There’s no doubt that Krave has a delicious and wildly successful new take on healthy snacking, seizing the opportunity to disrupt the sleepy Quickie Mart snack category. At Hatch, we took inspiration from the product itself, breaking through category constraints with premium packaging that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s “pork without the fork” and “more macho than trailmix” and a way to “spice up your survival kit.” Because in the end, “carnivores have more fun.” " We then extended the new brand identity system to a full suite of marketing materials that included gourmet photography, shippers, a website, consumer and sales collateral, business system, in-store display units, tradeshow booth materials and a truly unique, limited-run press kit.
