About Wammu is a program to manage data in your cell phone such as contacts, calendar or messages. It is built on Gammu library , which provides abstraction layer to work with different cell phones from different vendors (including Nokia, Sony-Ericsson, Motorola, Samsung, Siemens, Huawei and others).gnokii provides tools and a user space driver for use with mobile phones under various operating systems (most testing is done under Linux but also Solaris, *BSD family and MS Windows families are known to work). If you wonder whether your phone is supported or not, it is safe to assume it is supported, at least when the phone is fairly modern. However there are rare cases that make phone support very limited. You may refer to our wiki pages for hints in the gnokii configuration.

The Kannel project was founded by Wapit Ltd. in June, 1999. SMPPSim SMPPSim is a testing tool designed to be used by developers of SMS applications. It simulates an SMSC (Short Message Service Centre) which has an SMPP interface which can be used by software applications for sending and receiving SMS text messages. SMPPSim is free of charge, open source and used by many thousands of users all over the world.Since October 2011, 5 million lines of the PEAR codebase has shifted to github. Hand in hand with this shift has been the tireless work of Daniel C – someone who brazenly said “I will fix the failing packages!” in the tail end of last year. Coupling his efforts with a call to arms , we’ve now seen an evaluation of the Known Good packages against PHP 5.4 , and massive input by the community.
