Mohammad Reza Shafii Kadkani, Iranian Poet. The march continues and night walks at the margin, The mountain heights and plains of the traveler Have found their shape again and brightness - which is the creator of existence - Created them again.

Mohammad Reza Shafii Kadkani, Iranian Poet

The march continues and from the window of the train I send my love greetings to the mountains and plains - For the young running brook is a bright youth in an old burning desert - The freshness of the open and morning air From the tresses of a girl - who has let fall the stream of the hairs on the shoulder of the wind through the window - I relate a true and lovely tale. The march continues and at the break of morning The pistachio trees alongside the road, Have bestowed their green peace to the stream And the annual growth of the tender vine trees - After enduring the ugliness of a brown color - Have bestowed their soreness to the cloud, wind, water and sun.

Simin Behbahani. To understand the work of Iranian poet Simin Behbahani (1927--2014) is to understand better the paradoxical nature of contemporary Iran.

Simin Behbahani

Indeed, if Emily Dickinson so much identified with her community that she occasionally signed her letters "Amherst," then Simin Behbahani can sign her poems "Iran. " In book after book, in one deeply felt poem after another, Behbahani has painted miniature portraits of her country over the decades. She has given voice to the yearnings of the Iranian people, chronicled their hopes and disillusionments, documented with pride and precision the heroic resistance and creative subversion of her nation and herself. Hers is a poetry of immediacy and resonance, of hopes betrayed and renewed, of disillusionment and dissent. It is high art and popular art at the same time, accessible to the ordinary reader, despite its formal traditionalism, its encyclopedic breadth, and its many historical and cultural allusions, both local and global.

There are days when sorrow and joy merge to make us appreciate better that the amazing destiny of humanity is one and indivisible. Iranians and especially the Society of Letters in Iran and in exile have just lost an iconic figure of Persian Letters. Simin Behbahani has died after a long illness. The Mohsen Hachtroudi Association expresses its deepest sympathies to her family, to all of our countrymen, and to poetry lovers worldwide. The Literary Award for 2015 season (see: see cultural activities of Mo-ha field), was named after Simine Behbahani. Simine passed away shortly before the news of the nomination of Maryam Mirzakhani for the Mathematics Field medal. During my last meeting with Simin Behbahani, the great lady remembered the adolescent she was and who presented her first poetic works to Mohsen Hachtroudi. Our star now shines in the firmament of Letters. Pain and joy mingled with pride. RÉSIDENCE D'ÉCRITURE - TRADUCTION du Sa'di d'Abbas Kiarostami — le Grand Sault.
