Copenhagen Game Collective – an experimental games collective - Unimove

Introduction: UniMove is an open-source Unity plugin and set of C# bindings that allows you to use PlayStation Move controllers with your Unity game. The newest version works with osx 10.6+, windows and linux. UniMove was created by Douglas Wilson of Die Gute Fabrik and Patrick Jarnfelt of the Copenhagen Game Collective, and is based on top of Thomas Perl’s super-nifty C API. Thomas has updated his library so it works with Windows. Features include: Read the status of the digital buttons (Bluetooth only)Read the status of the analog trigger (Bluetooth only)Set Rumble and LED colors (Bluetooth and USB)Read values for the internal sensors (Bluetooth only): accelorometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, temperature, battery level Binary download: UniMove v.0.2.1 (June 21, 2013) Source Code: Installation instructions Viola! The Move controller is an excellent input device which can be used for very accurate input but all software development for PC support has to be done from scratch. The primary point of contact is our PS Move Mailing List News will be posted at our blog: moveonpc.blogspot.com Two Summer of Code projects for the MoveOnPC project May 2012: We are participating in the Google Summer of Code. But unfortunately Sony made no SDK to directly use it with PC. You can connect the PC to the PS3 though (if you buy their program), and access the tracking data. But maybe there are people, who do not own a PS3 or the Move.Me but want precise real-time motion tracking. This framework is for these people. You are not a programmer? With the Calibration Tool you can calibrate your device, so the framework can track it very accurate. With the Move Framework, you can integrate all the possibilities of motion tracking in your programs and games! It is developed in C++. There are SDK's for C++ and C# developers too! Licensing The license of the framework is GPLv2, so you may only use the dll, the source or any other part of the framework, if the derived work is also free and comes with source code too.

Tracking in 3D space is possible using a PS Eye (on Linux and Windows), an iSight camera (on Mac OS X) or any other suitable camera source. The PS Move API is used as the library implementation of the MoveOnPC project, and has successfully participated in Google Summer of Code 2012.
