(Angel Productions) - The UK Doctorate Video - coming to Britain for a PhD. This video in our series for doctoral students was made in cooperation with Birkbeck, University of London. "We have found The UK Doctorate Video to be extremely useful. The production quality is excellent and it is proving very useful in helping our new international research students understand what it is that makes the UK doctorate so distinctive, what they can expect from life as a research student in the UK, and what they can do to give themselves the best possible start in their doctoral programme.

We were aware that new international research students had quite specific needs which were not being fully met by our current induction provision. The UK Doctorate video has helped us enhance that induction provision and we hope it will help our new international research students adapt quickly and successfully to their new setting. - Brett Dodgson, Graduate School Officer University of Leicester critical thinking independent working working with supervisors the PhD upgrade process.
