Harper worked as the director of design at George Nelson Associates during the 1960s and is known for designing the Marshmallow Sofa for Herman Miller (as well as the firms’ iconic logo) and the ball and sunburst clocks for Howard Miller. Privately the designer was also an artist and created numerous paper sculptures depicting animals, masks, and other figures. Via Rizzoli: Encompassing influences as diverse as Picasso, Egyptian hieroglyphs, the art of Oceana and Africa, the architecture of Paris, and the American beech tree that shades the Rye, New York home he has lived in for over 50 years, the artist’s private meditations reveal an informed aesthetic consciousness expressing itself as pure joy.

Paper light Landscapes & Plug-In Table II -iOSFlashVideo. Marcus Tremonto, créateur du studio de design Treluce spécialisé dans l’éclairage, a présenté lors de la semaine du design à Milan 2009 sa dernière série de mobilier, composée de lampes, tables et pièces murales.
Paper light Landscapes et Plug-In Table II, sont deux créations où lumière, travail de l’image et adaptabilité sont les maitres mots. Découverte de ses créations dans la suite! On a particulièrement aimé Paper Landscape Lights, qui est un système de lampes modulables inspirées de la technologie primitive, utilisée à la base pour générer des paysages topographiques numériques. Plug-in Table II est un système de table basé sur l’utilisation des pièces murales comme pièce centrale de la table, remplaçant ainsi décoration florale, bougies… Les centres de tables présentés sont des 2 en 1; ils peuvent aussi être utilisés comme décoration murale.
