Industrial Design News - London-based designer Roger Arquer recently designed a new stool for furniture manufacturer Zilio A&C, dubbed the “Sputnik Stool.”

The stool’s design presents a single piece of bend metal rod that defines its structure and function. This inner metal piece holds the legs of the stool together, offering a strong structure, while three highs for the footrest. The different heights of the footrest allow several positions for comfort. Further information regarding “Sputnik” is available through the company’s site. Strips of black tape provide the visible structure but also operate as the graphical element on each piece. The result? Furniture that can be disassembled and reassembled easily.
