On Friday evening, Feb. 3, blue and orange lights will illuminate the Empire State Building to mark World Cancer Day on Feb. 4. Social media users are invited to “light up” their Twitter and Facebook profiles to make their voices heard for a leading killer and a disease that has no boundaries: Twitter: Facebook: According to estimates from the International Agency for Research on Cancer, there were 12.7 million new cancer cases in 2008 worldwide, of which 5.6 million occurred in economically developed countries and 7.1 million in economically developed countries.
