It’s not that we’re not used to seeing choreographed dancers. But I don’t think there was anybody who wasn’t surprised by the 2007 video of 1,500 Filipino prison inmates, with perfect precision, acting out the zombie scene from Michael Jackson’s 1982 classic, “Thriller.” A sea of orange uniforms with speakers blasting overhead, it looked almost too good to be true--yet without the overproduced, airbrushed nonsense that we tend to see on mass performances.
