Lalo Schifrin Lalo Schifrin en juillet 2006 Biographie[modifier | modifier le code] Né à Buenos Aires en 1932, Lalo Schifrin est le fils de Luis Schifrin, un violoniste professionnel. Très jeune, il étudie le piano avec Enrique Barenboim (père du pianiste Daniel Barenboim) puis Andreas Karalis et suit un cursus classique en Argentine. Au début des années 1950, il poursuit sa formation au Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris et étudie, entre autres, auprès d'Olivier Messiaen et de Charles Koechlin. Schifrin devient staff arranger pour le label Verve Records (arrangements pour Stan Getz, Count Basie, Sarah Vaughan, Jimmy Smith, Luiz Bonfá, Cal Tjader…).
