After releasing a couple of techno/house 12 inches on small labels, he signed an artist contract with french label F-Communications on 1997, releasing three EP’s, then followed by a LP (“Newcomer”) on 2001. The album’s huge success (more than 170.000 copies sold) leads him to stages around the world, touring for more than 3 years with musicians and singers, performing live in famous festivals (Montreux, Nice, Vienne, Den Haag, Les vieilles charrues) and in prestigious venues. Musicien de jazz à ses débuts, il a produit et composé de nombreux succès de la chanson française. Il etait aussi animateur radio et télé, chroniqueur et auteur de livres et de pièces de théâtre. Il est décédé le 26 septembre 2008, à l’âge de 66 ans, des suites d’un cancer.
Licencié en sciences politiques et économiques de l’ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles), Marc Moulin a entamé sa carrière musicale comme pianiste dans des cercles de jazz et des festivals. Il accompagne alors les plus grand solistes de jazz de l’époque lors de leur passage à Bruxelles : Slide Hampton, Dexter Gordon, Benny Bailey, Terry Clark… Sur les conseilles de son ami Philippe Catherine (dont il produira le premier disque, Streams -1972) il achète un piano électrique Wurlitzer qu’Il conservera toute sa vie.
