Wednesday, April 11, 2012 As one of the largest museums in the United States, the Philadelphia Museum of Art invites visitors from around the world to explore its renowned collections, acclaimed special exhibitions, and enriching programs, both in person and online. This exhibition highlights Collab’s gifts from the last four decades, celebrating the organization’s contributions to the Museum as well as presenting a chronological overview of modern and contemporary design in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. September 7, 2010 - Summer 2012 The debut installation in the Museum’s new Anne d’Harnoncourt Sculpture Garden— Isamu Noguchi at the Philadelphia Museum of Art —presents a fascinating selection of sculptures by Isamu Noguchi (American, 1904–1988), who had long-standing ties with the Museum and its late director Anne d’Harnoncourt.
The Dahesh Museum of Art has a rich tradition of organizing exhibitions centered on its extensive permanent collection of 19th-century academic art. The curatorial staff has developed a series of exhibitions on subjects that are especially representative of the artists, ideals and subject matter that dominated academic art during that creative era. The exhibitions listed here range from modestly scaled to substantial and major. In all cases, the exhibition checklist can be tailored to the needs and spaces of the borrowing institution.
