Morgan Colors- Dun Morgan Horses. Often we see a color, marking or pattern that can't really be explained, and we have only guesses as to the genetic cause.

Some patterns have a name but are not often seen in Morgans, like brindling and lacing. On this page we'll feature some of these intriguing color mysteries. If you have a Morgan with an odd white marking, brindling, white streaking or other unexplained coloring, we'd love to add it to this page. Please email pictures to Laura Behning. I hope you enjoy seeing these unusually colored Morgans! SNOWBOUND CROOK'S PROMISE (Fastrak Class Act x Fastrak Legally Blonde), 2011 palomino filly owned by Snowbound Morgans. MYTHIC FREYJA (Mythic Aladdin x LS Elizabrass), 1998 bay mare owned by CeAnn Shipley, Mythic Morgans.

Another Morgan with a patch of lighter hair on his face is HURS DONOVAN (Paramounts Norseman x Topfield's Samantha), a 1983 chestnut gelding. TOPFIELD'S SUNRISE (Topfield x West Lane Dawn), 1965 chestnut mare. Back to the top.

Laddie as we call him was started in harness as a two year old by Bruce Brink of Danville, Vermont and then was trained under saddle as a three year old by Gene Limlaw of Weathersfield Vermont. Gene spent a a lot of time riding Laddie in the Vermont hills. Due to no fault of Laddie he developed a terrible abscess on his entire neck and chest after being shipped off to a trainer as a four year old. He arrived choking after a 32 hour trailer ride (which should have taken 12 hours) with a commercial shipper who had tied him too tight in the trailer.

Stella had come to see Laddie before he went to Jane and liked what she saw. Congratulations Stella and I hope you have a great time with this fabulous boy in the dressage ring and on the trails. ~Lisa, Piper, and Tim Wysocki show. 7565RESEARCHHistoricMareLines2011. Mischief (LBF April’s Delight) Piper has been wanting to attend a Cutter Farm jumper show all winter long.

Mischief (LBF April’s Delight)

However she has been struggling with some jumping associated fear for quite a while and had been balking about jumping anything higher than a few inches particularly if there were multiple jumps in a row. Mischief also tends to get a wee bit enthusiastic about jumping which can be a little disconcerting when you’ve been riding a pony that needs more encouragement. Needless to say given these factors the parental units were a bit skeptical. That said, since this was driven by her, Cutter has a nice beginner 12″ cross rail class, and Dave felt she’d be fine we decided to let her go ahead as long as her Wednesday lesson went well. Wednesday involved a lot of practice getting Mischief to approach fences at rider recommended pace instead of her own. The warm-up for the lower classes started at 8:30 so we needed to be at the barn by 6:30 requiring the o-dark-hundred wake-up call of 5:30. Pictures of Mischief Managed's Family.
