Introducing Multiplication Video, Quiz, and Worksheet. Here is a short video by Scholastic Study Jams that explains the concept of MULTIPLICATION as being repeated additions of the same number. The video also introduces the terms factors and product and the properties of multiplication. After watching the video students can take a short online multiple choice quiz to check their understanding.

I hope you find it useful. You can download the worksheet from my website. . ~ Have fun with math! Multiplication and Division Strategy Posters | Math Learning Center.

My whirlwind of a day! Let me just take you through this whirlwind of a day. We started the morning finishing up our "My Earth Books" that turned out pretty stinkin' cute... We've read several "Earth Day" books and talked a lot about taking care of the environment. You can find my Earth Day unit on TPT! In Math, we have started multiplication. My poor kids want to skip straight to memorizing multiplication facts, but I have had to explain several times that we just aren't going there this year, ha! They want to be big kids so badly! I had a bunch of stuff for the kids to choose from like marbles, cotton balls, jingle bells, jewels, beans, macaroni, foam shapes, and more! And then, all of the cuteness came to a sudden stop. 3:15 comes and it's time for dismissal.

This picture was taken right outside our school building (by someone much braver than myself!) This is just a glimpse of the devastation that occurred in the neighborhood where my sis-in-law teaches and where my best friend's house is. I Spy Arrays! Just wanted to drop in quickly to share an "I Spy" Arrays! Activity. This is super simple, but gets the kids moving {which we all know they desperately need this time of year!} Print out the cards and set them around your classroom. Give each student a copy of the recording sheet (front/back). I posted this on Facebook yesterday, but thought I'd share for the rest of you! Monday is over, friends! Multiplication songs. I have been meaning to make a multiplication trick sheet for weeks now and I finally got around to it! Click the picture to download!
