Flip Book. The Flip Book is designed to allow users to type and illustrate tabbed flip books up to ten pages long.

Students and teachers can use the flip book for taking notes while reading, making picture books, collecting facts, or creating question and answer booklets. Students can choose from nine different layouts for the pages of their books (shown left). A blank flip book is available for demonstration and planning. Timelines can be organized by time of day, date, or event, and the tool allows users to create a label with short or long descriptive text. Adding an image for each label makes a timeline more visually appealing. Add, drag, and rearrange items as needed. Saving capability allows students to return to their work and make revisions, and they can share their final work via e-mail. The features that won me over way back then were the integrated search for Creative Commons licensed videos and the automatic controls on font size and quantity. The font controls forced students to think about how they use images and words in presentations. Those core features still remain and more features have been steadily added over the years.
