I have a framebuffer working finally anyway, with the last two kernels, logo and all too. Also, I seem to have tracked down what's causing my segfaults with HIGHMEM_4G and VMSPLIT_3G, the madwifi-eee-svn drivers. The kernel under a custom version and name never had them installed (that's why I gave that up, too much hassle to edit the madwifi-eee-svn PKGBUILD to install them, at least IMO), and I never got segfaults with it. The WIFI was activated though (blue LED).
