(AKI) - Eni is repatriating family members of its employees in Libya amid violence that has reportedly resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people demonstrating against dictator Muammar Gaddafi, the company said on Monday in a statement.The Rome-based company is the largest international oil company operating in Libya, pumping the equivalent of 522 thousands barrels of oil a day.Eni chief executive Paolo Scaroni on Thursday brushed off suggestions that protests which broke out in Libya would affect the Rome-based company's business, referring to the tension in Libya as "not particularly strong. "Human Rights Watch said at least 233 people have been killed in Libya since demonstrations broke out on 15 February, but Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam said on Monday that 84 people had been killed in the protests.In a televised speech he warned on Monday that his country faced a bloody civil war if anti-government protesters refused to accept offers of reform.
