Bachelor of Literature and degree in Economics from University in Normandy My mother used to ride, although she stopped before I was born. I began riding at a local riding school and always rode horses because I was already too tall for ponies. When I was 20 years old I competed at the French Show Jumping Championships and after a really bad second day at the tournament I very nearly gave up riding altogether. I thought long and hard about becoming a Formula 1 racing driver instead until I discovered what a long time it takes to get to that level of motor sport.
