Photograph: Gus Ruelas/Reuters JK Rowling might have turned to an adult readership for her new novel The Casual Vacancy , but the boy wizard Harry Potter is still exerting a spell over the author who has collaborated on the interactive Book of Spells for Sony's Playstation 3 . Rowling called the augmented reality game, the first for Sony 's new book-shaped peripheral device the Wonderbook, "the closest a Muggle can come to a real spell book". Out this Christmas, it allows players to discover and practise spells such as incendio , expelliarmus and wingardium leviosa – using the Move controller as their wand – while stumbling across notes and facts scribbled into the margins of the book by previous Hogwarts students.
