Let me tell you a story. A friend’s son had a homework assignment to use the Internet to find out the amount of the 1998 blue crab harvest from the Chesapeake Bay. She worked with her son, searching online for hours, to try to pinpoint this information using general search engines like Google , but came up empty. She called me, and I managed to pull up the figure she needed in just a few minutes. I’m not special. Any competent librarian could have done the same thing.
