PISA › PISA in Focus N°26: Grade Expectations They’re a source of both anxiety and pride, but school marks can also have long-term consequences for students. So it is worrying that this month’s PISA in Focus shows the tendency of teachers to award higher marks to girls and socio-economically advantaged students than to boys and disadvantaged students – even if they perform equally well in school and have similar positive attitudes towards learning.

This report reviews the current state of knowledge concerning children in hazardous work and presents the case for a new focus on the issue as part of the wider global effort to eliminate the worst forms of child labour.

Des centaines de millions de garçons et de filles à travers le monde sont astreints à des travaux en violation de leurs droits fondamentaux à la liberté, à l’éducation, à la santé et aux loisirs. De tous ces enfants, plus de la moitié sont exposés aux pires formes de travail des enfants comme travailler dans un environnement dangereux, comme esclaves ou autres formes de travail forcé, dans des activités illicites comme le trafic de drogue, la prostitution ou les conflits armés. L’Organisation internationale du Travail (OIT) a lancé la première Journée mondiale contre le travail des enfants en 2002 pour mettre en lumière le calvaire de ces enfants.

Un rapport de l'Onu portant sur la liberté d'expression sur Internet met en lumière la capacité de certains Etats à priver un utilisateur de connexion. A ce titre, l'organisation internationale cite nommément la riposte graduée, telle qu'elle est pratiquée par l'Hadopi. Dans son rapport ( .pdf ), l'Onu estime que la riposte graduée pourrait s'avérer contraire aux droits fondamentaux, notamment la liberté d'expression.

More than 20 per cent of Denmark's energy already comes from renewable energy, and the goal is to reach 100 per cent by 2050. Much of the renewable energy comes from wind turbines, where Denmark is a world leader when it comes to developing new technology. The Danish cycling culture is another example of a green and sustainable society and Copenhagen alone has around 400 km of cycle paths, and about 40 per cent of the capital's population commute to work by bicycle. <p style="text-align:right;color:#A8A8A8"></p>
