Databases Relational Databases VS Non-Relational Databases Relational Databases are mostly used in enterprise scenarios, they store information with columns, rows, and tables. Where each column is associated with a data point and a row represents the value for that category. In relational databases, each table can only store one object. MySQLPostgreSQL For example, you can’t store data on customers and clients in the same relational table. But in the case of Non-Relational Databases, which are more flexible because the data isn’t limited to the same table, they use columns and rows to enter types of data and its values and identify objects with keys. MongoDB -RecommendedAWS- Easy to scaleFirebase- A great choice for small projects 3. Now when you are done with databases you need to access the data on the frontend through APIs, think about the electricity supply in your houses, to use an appliance you need to plug it into a plug socket.

Website Design: The Basics. Once you zero in on the kind of the website you want, the next step obviously is designing it.

Website Design: The Basics

Figure out the pages you want on your site and what you need each of them to be. Once you have a purpose for each page, you can think of the information to be presented and the kind of layout that goes well with that. In UX design, this process is called wireframing. Wireframing brings out the essentials from the initial concept. It is meant to convert the idea into concrete information, presented visually for easy understanding. Why Mood Boards Matter. It has happened to everyone.

Why Mood Boards Matter

You spend countless hours producing a beautiful, pixel-perfect comp only to have it rejected by the client because it isn’t what they were envisioning in their mind’s eye. It’s the dreaded “I’ll know it when I see it” curse. You get sent back to the drawing board, your ego and the budget take a hit, and everyone is frustrated by the process.

After this happens a few times you realize that getting the client involved earlier in the process can make a huge difference in the outcome of your design presentations. As designers, we often think we have all the answers. And if your client hasn’t been very forthcoming about what they want their new site to look like it’s even harder to hit the mark in one shot. What exactly is a mood board? Mood boards (sometimes called inspiration boards) are used in a variety of disciplines. A mood board is extremely useful for establishing the aesthetic feel of a web site. How do I create one? Style 1: Loose Collage Examples. Style Tiles. Affinity. We’ve got some very exciting news to share today—we are going to be launching Affinity on Windows later in the year!

Affinity

We have to be honest—we’ve been working on this for some time now, but because of the technical challenges involved we have been reluctant to commit to any definite schedule. However, development has gone a lot better than expected. We now have an Alpha build of Affinity Designer running on Windows which is very nearly feature complete—and we are expecting to be able to put that to a public beta in as little as 2-3 months time. Should you run a Windows set up and want to be one of the first to check it out you can put your name down for the free beta now—it’s open to everyone.

Even if you are exclusively a Mac user we hope you agree this is a positive step. Head of Windows Development Mark Ingram using Designer on a Surface Affinity Photo on Windows (still missing a couple of personas!) Processing.org.
