What’s worse, psychology studies have shown that rebutting factually impoverished arguments with actual facts has precisely the opposite effect one would hope: it actually makes people cling even tighter to their fictions. Is there anything that can cut through this Gordian knot of nonsense? This is an excel shee [shit], not an infographic ! While Zynga’s updated stock filings are causing much ado, we’re seeing dollar signs all over the fact that people tend to get hooked on more than one game title at a time — like an infographic from optim.al shows.

The company illustrates how cross-addictive these games are in the infographic we’ve reproduced below; it compares active users and fans of the most popular game, CityVille, with other Zynga titles. To clarify some aspects of the infographic, “post from” refers to the most active players of the game, while “like” simply refers to those who’ve clicked said icon on the game’s page.
